CHI St. Joseph Medical Center Division System Services Virtual Health Bargaining Update
Our Bargaining Team [L-R]: Chelan Henley, Virtual Companion; Rayann La Madeleine, Central Monitoring Telemetry; Lillian Rudolph (guest), Virtual Companion; Faith Couch, Central Monitoring Telemetry.
On Thursday, September 19 our Virtual Health Bargaining Team met with Management for our third session of negotiations on our 2024 union contract.
After just three days of bargaining so far- our team are feeling good about how much progress we have already made. While we have not yet started discussions on our wages, premiums, or much else in terms of financials- we did get confirmation from the Employer that they anticipate they’ll have an economic response ready for us as early as our next session.
Considering the proposals we have been exchanging with management, we’ve come to several agreements already, and feel that the Articles which remain outstanding have led to productive conversation with management about why they’re high priorities for us this contract cycle.
Some of our agreements so far include some improvements to the grievance procedure & language which allows a union rep to join us at disciplinary meetings, as well as some clarifiers on internal job openings & transfers.
We look forward to our next bargaining date & to keeping the momentum high- the sooner we get to a final agreement, the sooner we all get the wages, benefits, and protections we achieve at the table this time around!
“I’m impressed with the progress we made today! Hopefully this productivity carries into the economics!” -Rayann La Madeleine, Central Monitoring Telemetry.
