Nurse staffing committee charter
We recommend all hospitals have a Nurse Staffing Committee Charter to describe the roles, responsibilities, and processes by which committees function and nurse staffing plans are developed and used.
Nurse staffing plan minimum criteria
We recommend that any staffing plan submitted to the Department of Health include the following core elements of the nurse staffing plan (matrix by unit and shift).
CEO attestation form
Document to be signed by the hospital CEO attesting that the staffing plan submitted to the Department of Health was developed in accordance with the law.
Assessing and evaluating complaints
This tool is intended to help hospital staff assess and evaluate complaints relative to ESHB 1714, as well as provide a decision tree for evaluating such complaints.
Sample complaint form
ESHB 1714 provides for a process to submit staffing-related complaints and for staffing committees to respond to staffing complaints. This is a sample form.
