We are the workers of MultiCare Health System.
We love caring for our community.
We are bargaining with MultiCare management right now for a fair contract at work! They’ve invested so much money lately in mergers, acquisitions, and growth. But when we ask them to invest in our health and well-being, they turn away.
Our proposals for affordable and accessible health benefits and for competitive wages with area hospitals and clinics have been denied. And MultiCare continues to drag their feet in negotiations, putting the South Puget Sound area at risk of health care disruptions.
Our communities deserve experienced and knowledgeable health care workers and fully staffed hospitals and clinics. We are calling on MultiCare to bargain in good faith so that we can reach a fair contract settlement that allows us to continue providing the highest quality care to our patients.

I Stand with MultiCare Workers!
I believe health care workers deserve accessible, affordable health care for themselves and their families.
I believe health care workers deserve fair compensation for the work they do to care for our community.
I believe that if MultiCare can afford rapid expansion across the state, they can afford to treat their workers fairly.
I call on MultiCare executives to come to the bargaining table, negotiate a fair contract, and treat our community's hardworking health care workers with dignity and respect.
If management refuses to offer workers a fair deal, I support MultiCare workers and their right to picket, to strike, and to do what it takes to demand fairness.
More Information:
More than 2,000 workers at MultiCare facilities have been in contract negotiations since February. These negotiations between UFCW 3000 union members and MultiCare management represent nine different bargaining units all united to negotiate together, including workers at Tacoma General Hospital, Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, Allenmore Hospital, and Auburn Medical Center.
Instead of investing in staff or existing hospitals, MultiCare has focused on expanding as quickly as it can. Since 2017, MultiCare has purchased Deaconess, Valley, and Yakima Valley Hospitals as well as Capital Medical Center; expanded Covington Medical Center and Allenmore Hospital; and opened Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital, Indigo clinics, five standalone emergency rooms, and Pulse Heart Institute locations. It is currently building a new Mary Bridge facility and a new tower at Good Samaritan.
MultiCare CEO Bill Robertson made $3.6 million in compensation in 2022, a nearly $1 million raise over his 2021 compensation.
