Forging A Peoples' Movement For Peace Justice & Democracy
Join UFCW 3000 members on Saturday, June 4th, at 5:30 PM at South Seattle College (Brockey Center) for LELO’s annual fundraising dinner!
LELO (Legacy of Equality, Leadership, and Organizing) is an important community ally to UFCW 3000. Formerly known as the Northwest Labor and Employment Law Office, LELO was founded in Seattle, Washington in 1972 when Black workers from the United Construction Workers Association, Asian workers from the Alaska Cannery Workers Association and Latino workers from the Northwest Chapter of the United Farmworkers of America came together to work for racial and economic justice.
Special guests at the annual dinner include Bill Fletcher Jr., the recipient of this year’s Domingo, Viernes and Jefferson Award and Josua Mata, Secretary General of one of the largest labor federations in the Philippines, SENTRO.
