The SIUW is a gathering of union women from across British Columbia, the Western United States, Hawaii, and Alaska. This event is for all our cis and trans union sisters, as well as our non-binary siblings who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women
The program will include workshops and plenaries on: Organizing – Building Working Class Power for Justice • Organizando (en español) • Anti-oppression and Intersectionality in the Labor Movement • Globalization and Immigration • Women in Leadership • Collective Bargaining • Political Action
Schedule: SIUW kicks off Thursday evening at 5:30 PM with a Welcome Plenary. There will be workshops and plenaries throughout the day on Friday and Saturday, and time for informal virtual get togethers.
