Fresenius Bargaining Update & Member Meeting
/Our union bargaining team met again with Fresenius management on Friday to continue contract negotiations. Fresenius did not make any counter proposals to what we proposed last session, but we pushed forward and made proposals on:
Wages (10% Year 1 market increases and higher Year 2 and Year COLAs)
Equity Review (employees can initiate audit of pay rate vs experience)
Milestone Bonuses (bonuses for 5-, 10-, 20-, and 30-year anniversaries)
PCT IIIs (adding to the bargaining unit & defining preceptors)
Floats (defining Floats & home locations as closest clinic to residence)
Mileage (defining & adding 30-day reimbursement timeline for the Employer)
Call-Time (1½ pay rate for short-notice coverage)
Protections From Harassment (zero-tolerance policy for patients)
G04RN Premium (pay incentive for completing the program)
No Strike No Lockout (allowing collective actions that aren’t work stoppages)
We will be making proposals on PTO/sick time and benefits after we meet with the Employer before our next session to do a deeper dive on the current policies. Bargaining will continue on Friday, July 25.
