Cascade Valley Hospital and Skagit Regional Health Bargaining Update
/On Thursday, January 15, we met with Cascade Valley Hospital Management to continue bargaining. They gave us a comprehensive response to our economic proposals. The committee is studying them and will respond on Thursday, February 5. We have made it clear to Management that our goal is to align salaries with the Skagit Regional Health contract. One Company, One pay scale!
On Friday, January 16, we met with Skagit Regional Health Management and presented our second set of proposals, in non-economic and economic areas. The message has been, and continues to be, that we want Skagit to be competitive and provide fair wages and working conditions to everyone. We are trying to stop the talent exodus and build something valuable for the community that we serve. We will return to the table this coming Friday, January 23.
On Friday, as an attempt to expedite negotiations, we are circulating a petition with the ultimate goal of delivering it to the Board of Commissioners, stressing the importance of this negotiation not just for employees but for the whole community. Skagit County and the entire region deserve exceptional healthcare, and retaining talent is a vital component.

We also launched a petition today for members and the community to add their voices in support of our bargaining goals.
