Lourdes Clinic & Urgent Care First Contract Ratified!

On November 25 after several months of negotiations workers at Lourdes Clinics/Urgent Care ratified our first contract. It was great for our coworkers to come out to vote and support their first contract. This contract brings guaranteed wage increases and premium pay. Most importantly we now have the protection of the union contract and can hold management accountable. This is a big win for us all in so many different ways. We want to thank everyone that came out asked questions, got educated and voted in Solidarity. All our hard work has paid off!

“Today was a great representation of the interest in making our workplace better for our employees. We were able to lock in a contract for the next 3 years that provides protection and security.” — Kaylene Kuhn, Radiology Tech

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed employees can make a change.” — Leilani Garcia, RN

“Labor cannot stand still. It must not retreat. It must go on, or go under. The most important word in the language of the working class is solidarity.” — Jose Munzo Lazo, Certified Medical Assistant

“The boss’s promises are temporary. A union contract is in writing.” — Jennifer Medrano, Certified Medical Assistant
