Puget Sound Allied Grocery Stores Jefferson County & Clallam County Contracts Ratified!
/On December 5, new Jefferson county and Clallam county grocery and meat contracts were ratified!
We’re nearly a year away from being back at the bargaining table with Kroger and Albertsons to negotiate another contract – this time, our contracts are more aligned statewide, and we’re organizing right now to fight and win even more in 2027!
Our new key contract wins include:
Highest-Ever Average Annual Wage Increase: $2.70 over two years.
Healthcare Protected: Most funding ever secured ($0.55 per hour) to keep our strong, low-cost plan.
Staffing Solutions: First-ever enforceable staffing language to fill more shifts in the store and new options to pick up extra hours.
Contract Alignment: More regions around the state now expire together in 2027, building more power for all of us.
"There’s no reason the grocery retail industry can’t provide wages and benefits that allow their employees to thrive financially and raise a family." – Bernard Vescovi – Safeway, Port Townsend
“Strong wage increases, fully funded health care, and a major breakthrough on staffing—this is a great contract that sets us up for bigger and better contracts in the future,” — Sam Dancy, QFC
