On Friday February 14, we met with the employer to negotiate the best contract for every job classification in our bargaining unit no matter how big or small. We shared stories of other hospitals sending us their patients because our staff saves lives. We continued to share the market wages—our members are even better! We are proud of the excellence of care we provide, and we believe that a strong contract deserves to reflect our contributions to our kids and we call upon the employer to respect us and our work.
Although we are mostly focused on wages, there are still a few outstanding non-economic items that are important to many of our members. We vow to continue our fight for all of our coworkers.
