LabCorp ULP STRIKE AUTHORIZATION VOTE NOTICE

ULP STRIKE AUTHORIZATION VOTE NOTICE

Our next bargaining dates with LabCorp are June 17 and 18, marking one year since we began negotiations on June 16, 2023. We passed our latest economic proposals at our session on May 31, once again seeking the fair and competitive wages and benefits that are overdue for our LabCorp members. LabCorp has promised us a comprehensive contract offer the next time we meet.

We must show LabCorp our readiness to take decisive action if we fail to reach an agreement. We believe the Employer has engaged in unfair labor practices throughout the bargaining process, including, but not limited to making unilateral changes to your working conditions following the expiration of the contract, spying on union activity, and taking measures to prohibit employees from even talking about the union. Therefore, our Bargaining Team has scheduled a vote for the following week on June 25 & 26.

Contract vote & strike authorization vote June 25 & 26

Two ballots will be given to voters: 1) CONTRACT VOTE: Vote on the latest offer made by LabCorp during our June 17 & 18 bargaining sessions; and 2) UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICE STRIKE AUTHORIZATION VOTE: If the offer made by LabCorp is not recommended by our Bargaining Team, we will be voting to authorize a strike.

After workers stood up and shared their message with their employer and their community, we are hopeful that LabCorp will come to the bargaining table in good faith prepared to make progress on an agreement that addresses some of our core concerns around wages, benefits, staffing and more. If not, we will vote to authorize a strike!

“If you’re really serious about winning better wages and healthcare, it’s time to act. You need to walk the walk with us.”– Debby Gibby, Senior Lab Assistant

Voting will be done via secure online balloting from 5:00am Tuesday June 25 to 5:00pm Wednesday June 26. You will need to have a functional email address in order to receive the email with your unique link to vote on the agreement.
