UFCW 3000 Member Story: Monica Meloy and Jason Sherwood Fuog

Shop stewards Monica Meloy and Jason Sherwood Fuog at Central Washington Hospital (CWH) knew something was wrong when in 2023 the hospital announced that UFCW 3000 members there would not be getting their incentive bonus because they said that 2022 goals were not met. These two Leaders knew their contract language and timelines. So, they reached out to their Union Representative and grieved the employer’s decision. Members at Central Washington Hospital won and received their bonus payment that totaled over $80,000 for the entire group!

Monica has worked at CWH for 20 years. She’s currently a Perinatal Tech. She sits on the Union Executive-Board, Healthcare Advisory Board, Conference Committee, Bargaining Team, and is a Union Steward. “Labor never quits. We never give up the fight. No matter how tuff the odds. No matter how long it takes!”

Jason has worked at CWH for 26 years. He’s a Nuclear Medicine Tech, Assistant Radiation Officer and serves on the Employee Violence Committee. He’s on your Bargaining Team and finishing his Steward training. “I’m here to serve my fellow union members.”
