Help Keep Workers on PCC’s Board! Nominations for the PCC Board of Trustees
/Nominations for the PCC Board of Trustees
Nominate Yourself or a Coworker to sit on the PCC Board of Trustees
In 2021, our union fought for two workers —Donna Rasmussen of PCC-View Ridge and Laurae McIntyre of PCC-Fremont—to win seats on the PCC Board of Trustees. These workers brought a unique perspective to the board, tapping their lived experiences with coworkers, customers, and the community to help steer the future of the co-op.
To maintain a strong worker voice on PCC’s Board, we need to act now.
PCC Board of Trustees Nomination Process
A seat on the PCC Board of Trustees will open at the end of the current term.
As a union, we need to nominate three PCC UFCW 3000 members by December 31, 2026 to run for this seat. PCC’s Board of Trustees, through its Governance and Membership Committee, will then confirm that the nominees meet the eligibility requirements in our contract and will place one of those UFCW 3000 member-candidates on the ballot for election by PCC’s member-owners at the Annual Members’ Meeting in spring 2027.
Nomination Vote Details
Our contract requires the Union to solicit nominations from PCC’s unionized staff and then hold an online vote, open for seven calendar days, to choose up to three nominees. Here is how it will work:
You can nominate yourself or a coworker online from November 9 at 8am to November 13 at 5pm.
We will contact all PCC UFCW 3000 member nominees by November 18 at 5pm to let them know they have been nominated.
Nominees will have until November 23 at 5pm to accept or decline their nominations. The Union will confirm that each nominee who accepts meets the Candidate Qualifications below before the candidate list is posted.
Members who accept nominations will need to write a biography of no more than 500 words and email it to Chris Crawford at ccrawford@ufcw3000.org by November 24 at 5pm.
After November 25, 2026, the full list of candidates who accepted nominations and their biographies will be available on the following webpage: https://ufcw3000.org/pcc If three or fewer eligible nominees accept, no vote will be needed. Their names will be submitted to PCC as the Union’s nominees, and we will let members know.
Once nominees are finalized, elections will open on December 1 at 8am and close December 7 at 5pm.
You will receive a separate e-mail with your unique ballot for voting on December 1, 2026, at 8am.
Online voting will be open to UFCW 3000 members in good standing who work under the PCC Grocery or Meat contract as of November 30 at 8am. You may vote for one nominee.
The top three PCC UFCW 3000 member vote recipients will be submitted to PCC as the Union’s Staff Nominees by December 31, 2026.
All ballots will be counted when voting closes on December 7 at 5pm. Results will be announced to members via email, online posting, and in-store.
If you wish to participate, then be sure to update your information, including your current email address by November 30 at 8am at https://ufcw3000.org/update-your-information
