Skagit Regional Health Keep Pushing! Keep Moving! Keep Fighting!
/Our Union Bargaining Team: Marilyn Faber (Union Representative), Cindy Tjaden, Isabel Contreras, Kalisa Dolph, Britney Myers-Fuller, Ashley Price, Briana Hovsepian, Graydon Hingey, Michael Koenig, Annalise Pasillas and Elizabeth Mayor, Alina Delano and Micheal Schwartz.
After three meetings with the Employer, we have made progress and moved forward with the non-economic aspects that will ensure an improved contract for everyone in SRH. It is also imperative to understand that the Employer continues trying to limit our access to the employees by making us the only union at SRH that needs to be “accompanied”—and refusing to allow us to bargain over changes to job descriptions.
Our Union Bargaining Team is committed to continuing to fight at the table for the contract that will ensure the representation everyone deserves. Furthermore, the team has made clear that it will not allow any takeaways during this negotiation cycle. We all must come together and demonstrate unity and a willingness to stand up to the Employer, letting them know that our Bargaining Team has our trust and unquestionable support.
Some tentative agreements reached include:
Beginning bargaining sessions 90 days prior to expiration
Language that will make us a stronger union, with access to the right information.
Modified language to acknowledge Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
Improved language that will allow shop stewards to carry out their duties around the hospital and clinics.
Employees will have access to their CBA through the hospital intranet
Meal and Rest Breaks: SRH proposed language to clarify and increase flexibility for members and to support leadership in adhering to the new laws aimed at protecting members’ rights to meal and rest breaks. We look forward to continuing to work with the employer to reach a TA on this proposal in the next meeting.
Our next bargaining sessions will be on October 10, 24, 30 and November 6. We encourage all members to keep wearing your Union colors in the worksite and join us for our CAT (Contract Action Team) meeting this Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 6:30—7:30pm, being held at our Union Hall (across the street from the Business Center), 1510 N 18th St., Mt Vernon, WA, 98273.

“During this session, we sustained multiple technical difficulties and interruptions by the employer due to their lack of preparedness.” —Annalise Pasillas
“It was a long day at the table with plenty of obstacles, but we made movement forward. Every step gets us closer to the contract we deserve—this fight is tough, but we’re tougher, and together we’ll win.” —Elizabeth Major
