Planned Parenthood Tentative Agreement Reached! online vote scheduled
/After two days of negotiations this week, our bargaining team is proud to announce that we’ve reached a tentative agreement with Planned Parenthood. We all knew that this contract renegotiation would be challenging, as we struggle in our health centers each day with the effects of the ongoing “defunding” efforts against Planned Parenthood. We prioritized the issues our coworkers identified as crucial, did everything we could to prevent takeaways or reductions, and fought to secure the wage increases and protections we need to continue providing vital patient care. Our team unanimously recommends a YES vote!
“After considerable compromises from both sides, we’ve reached an agreement that helps minimize the impact on the organization and on employees— a contract that keeps the big picture in mind.” –Michel
“It’s no question that each of us deserves more money, a safer workplace, the most affordable healthcare - it all matters. We matter. Our bargaining team has fought tirelessly to protect us and advocate for all that is possible within the realities. I am proud of our union, our team, and all of you. We will never stop fighting - for our patients and for each other.” –Mackenzie
“Considering what we all know is going on, after many hours of back and forth, we’ve come to a mutual agreement which will allow both sides to survive this fight.” –Shantelle
