Recovery Cafe Tentative Agreement Reached!

Our bargaining committee is proud of the months long effort to reach a first contract with Recovery Cafe. While there is still more we hope to win, this contract has some significant improvements, including:

  • “Just Cause” protections that set a grievance procedure for when members are disciplined or terminated

  • Guaranteed wage increases with backpay from July 2025 to when we ratify the agreement

  • A tenure based wage scale that ensures wage increases based on seniority

  • A fully-Employer funded pension retirement plan at a 2.8% contribution rate

  • Protections on healthcare costs and introducing a new $200/mo maximum Employer-funded subsidy towards monthly premiums for members with dependents & more improvements from the status quo

Contract Walkthrough Meeting

All members that participate in the vote will be able to review the vote materials before casting their ballot. Before the votes, we will also have a meeting to review the full contract including the wage scale, the healthcare language, our grievance procedure, and all of the other articles in the agreement. At this meeting, you can ask questions to your bargaining committee and staff about the agreement. This meeting will take place on Thursday, June 18 at 7pm PST.
