Confluence Health A Breakthrough at the Table!

Our collective actions over the last two weeks have paid off in this bargaining session, and we are encouraged by the results! Management arrived prepared to engage and met with our team early in the day, replying to several outstanding proposals. Throughout the course of the day, we reached sixteen tentative agreements. One of these was a major breakthrough in our economic proposals – agreeing to the definitions of full time and part time employees. Thank you to our Contract Action Team members who pulled a lot of information to support the need for these definitions.
Some of the other tentative agreements we reached are securing current practice for breaks, mileage reimbursement, our pharmacy discount, and several employment practices. This means that, upon ratification of our contract, the company is now legally bound to maintain these practices.
Our unity and solidarity moved the employer to agree to our proposals. Your support made a clear difference in the tone and quality of discussions at the table today.
Today’s session demonstrated that progress is possible when both parties come to the table and are prepared to listen and create solutions. For the next steps, join us at our CAT team meeting. Sign up here >>
