Grand Central Bakery Productive Bargaining Sessions Continue

Our Union Bargaining Team: Amanda (Wallingford), Fianna (Eastlake), Emi (Wedgwood), Amelia (Burien)

On Monday, our Union Bargaining Team met with Grand Central Bakery to provide our counterproposal to their first economic counter. We shared our counters on wages, scheduling, hours, holidays, healthcare, and retirement. The Employer received these counterproposals and we had very productive conversations about what would benefit our membership; we affirmed our commitment to fighting for the wages, scheduling, and additional benefits that we deserve. We’re hopeful to see what Grand Central Bakery counters with in our upcoming bargaining session. 
 
We return to the bargaining table next Monday, June 8 and are ready to see the Employer meet us with counters that respect tenure, experience, and staffing.
