Providence St. Peter Hospital Professionals First Contract Ratified!

Following yesterday’s highly attended vote meetings, members of our union Bargaining Team tallied up the ballots received- the results of which were nearly unanimous- and are proud to announce that our first Collective Bargaining Agreement is officially ratified!
What's next?
Finalizing the Contract: Our union and Providence will now work to finalize and sign our new Agreement. Once complete, printed copies will be distributed throughout the hospital.

Wage Scale Placement: The first step to get us adjusted to our union wage scales (where we will be placed on the step which results in no less than a two and one-half percent (2.50%) increase from our current rate) is set to take place the second full pay period following ratification; we estimate this to be shortly after the Christmas holiday.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS: We are now officially union-represented! Our contract is a legally binding document and must be adhered to by the Employer. Our union staff- comprised of union representatives, grievance specialists, organizers, and negotiators- are here to support us during our transition to being union members and during the term of our Agreement- however, the strongest unions are built by workers who know their contract and enforce their rights!
