Pacific Northwest Grocery Stores First Bargaining Date Set!

For the first time in history, on Tuesday, Sept 29, grocery store workers from across Washington State and North Idaho met at the same table to plan for our upcoming bargaining session with Kroger and Albertsons.

Together we discussed the top priorities for this bargain, drafted initial bargaining proposals, and created a plan of action to build the power we need to win a better contract for all members.

We also confirmed a date and location for our first unified Pacific Northwest Allied Grocery bargaining session with the employers. We’ll see Kroger and Albertsons on Dec 9 in Spokane, WA.

The 2027 contract bargaining cycle is special because it includes grocery store workers from Forks, WA to Coeur D'Alene, ID, and from Richland, WA up to Blaine, WA. It’s going to take all 30,000 of us to sticking together to win better wages, better staffing, and better stores for our coworkers and our communities.

Get Involved
