CommonSpirit St. Michael Medical Center Pro-Tech and Clinical Support Offer Unanimously Rejected Strike Authorized!
/On Wednesday, September 16, UFCW 3000 members in the St. Michael Medical Center Pro-Tech and Clinical Support unit voted UNANIMOUSLY to reject CommonSpirit’s offer, and overwhelmingly voted to authorize a strike.
This does NOT mean a strike is imminent, but our Union Bargaining Team is now empowered to call for a strike if the Employer continues its current behavior at the table. We have reached out to the Employer with proposed dates for further negotiations and are waiting to hear back.
“CommonSpirit said offering competitive wages did not fit into their ‘philosophy’ this bargaining cycle. Well, our philosophy is patients over profits, and this result shows we’re ready to do what it takes to back that up.” - Rob Shauger, Certified Nursing Assistant and Bargaining Team Member
