As a part of our union contract, we have set a limit on healthcare cost increases year to year of 10% (5% shared by the Employer, 5% shared by union members). Our healthcare costs have increased 12.3% (2.3% more than our contract covers). Members in good standing are encourage to participate in this online vote to maintain our existing healthcare coverage. Voting yes would increase the healthcare cost on employees an additional 2.3% on top of what the contract covers and would ensure we can maintain the existing coverage in our healthcare plan.

Our union bargaining team is excited to announce that we’ve reached a tentative agreement with Theorem. We unanimously recommend a YES vote!

After months of pushing back on takeaways and fighting for a fair contract, our bargaining team has reached a tentative agreement with Have a Heart and fully recommends a yes vote. We’ll be holding a contract ratification vote on Wednesday July 30, in-person at each store.

Bargaining has begun! On May 7, 2025, our bargaining team members met with employer representatives from The Joint to begin first contract negotiations. We opened by proposing language on non-economic topics including:

Dockside first contract bargaining has begun! After preparing proposals based on our survey answers in early April, our bargaining team met with representatives from management for our 1st session last week.

Theorem first contract bargaining has begun! After preparing proposals based on our discussions and survey answers in March, our bargaining team met with a representative from ownership for our 1st session in mid-April.

We’re excited to announce that negotiations for our first contract will begin soon—we’ll finally be getting The Joint to meet us at the table in April. We’ve been preparing as a unit for months, identifying our shared goals and concerns and organizing around pay & raises, security, and health & safety issues. Now is the time to get involved!
