Agreement Reached on Training, but Employers’ Proposed Wage-Cuts Remain

Our Union member Bargaining Team made additional progress today with the employers’ representatives as we reached a tentative agreement around investments in training for workforce development. On the crucial issue of wage increases, the employers still have not made a counter-proposal to our wage increase proposal from earlier in the month.

Take Action and Keep Updated:

  • Join the Telephone Town Hall on Wednesday evening June 19 at 5:30 p.m.— all you have to do is answer your phone when we call.

  • Make sure you’ve updated your contact information (cell, email, UFCW 21 app). We need to know the best way to reach you so we can take unified action together. When we take action together, we can move the employer away from their take-away proposals and toward our solutions on wages, benefits, and other improvements for our working conditions.

  • Contract Action Team meetings will take place in the second week of July. Keep a look out for meeting details as they become available. At these meetings we will discuss escalated actions planned for later in July.
