Recovery Cafe Bargaining Update

On December 8, our union Bargaining Team met with Recovery Cafe Management for another session to discuss wages and health care. We hoped to receive a full response from Management on our proposal from November, but unfortunately only half of their wage proposal was ready. Although Recovery Cafe empathized with the burden of high health care costs for families under their current plan, they maintained their position to keep the current plan.  

We look forward to a full economic proposal from Recovery Cafe after the new year. We're ready to fight for a fair and affordable health care plan, and advocate for our SODO coworkers as Recovery Cafe has yet to deliver a clear plan following their closure announcement.
