Capital Medical Center RN Bargaining Update
/On June 23 and 27, our Capital Medical RN bargaining team met with Hospital management.
We’ve been steadily working through non-economic proposals, going back and forth on contract language that needed cleaning up or clarification. We’ve reached a few Tentative Agreements (TAs) so far.
Management’s tone has been reserved but engaged—they’re asking questions and seem open to hearing our perspective. On our side, there’s a strong sense of hope and unity. Your bargaining team is showing up prepared and focused.
Now, we turn to economics. This means we’re moving into the proposals that will impact your daily life and long-term stability:
Competitive wages that recruit and retain nurses
Stronger low census protections
Economic recognition of the critical care you provide
Resources that support safe staffing and real patient ratios
We’re making it clear that these proposals are investments in patient care, nurse safety, and the future of this hospital.
Next Steps:
We’ll be back at the table on July 1st to begin those economic conversations. Stay tuned for more updates—and be ready to take action if needed. How you can help:
