Our union contract guarantees us a voice
On Thursday August 13, our union was notified that Citadel Acquisition LLC (a subsidiary of ZMC Management) will be purchasing a majority stake in Card Kingdom effective late September 2026. Card Kingdom states that they will retain all bargaining unit employees, and that there will be no changes to wages, benefits, working conditions, job locations, schedules, or duties. Importantly, representatives from Card Kingdom stated that there will be no changes to union representation or our collective bargaining agreement.
Our union contract guarantees the right to bargain over effects of a sale, and requires the Employer to provide information about the purchase of Card Kingdom by Citadel Acquisition LLC. Our Union is requesting all relevant information regarding the purchase agreement, and is pursing an agreement with the Employer to ensure that all negotiated terms and conditions of employment remain intact for the duration of the current collective bargaining agreement.
