LabCorp - Some Progress Made, a Lot Left to Go

On Wednesday, September 9, we met with the Employer and two federal mediators. It was our first session involving mediators. We discussed our contract proposals, and there was some movement on non-economic issues. We are still at a standstill on wages. The Employer is holding to its proposed 1.75% increase, and our Union is also standing by its higher wage proposal. We have two more bargaining dates on Sept 17 and 18 with a mediator. The Employer committed to bringing economic information about its health insurance proposals to our meeting on Sept 17, and a full presentation on Sept 18.
