Richland Fred Meyer Contract Ratified!
/We overwhelmingly ratified a new agreement at Fred Meyer Richland! Our combined strength with fellow grocery workers across the state established a unified expiration timeline in 2027 for tens of thousands of UFCW 3000 grocery workers bargaining at the same time.
Some of the other wins in this new contract include:
Journeyperson increases of at least a dollar over the duration of the agreement to align our wages with Spokane county
A shorter contract duration that aligns us with Spokane county grocery agreements expiration of January 16, 2027
A compressed apprentice wage scale with increased wage escalators from $0.05 to $0.25
A transition to All Purpose Clerk to align wage scales and provide the opportunity to pick up more hours in different departments
No deductible or premium increases to our healthcare and benefit improvements to our vision, podiatry, and hearing care benefits. Healthcare eligibility will now be based on all compensable hours
Dedicated money to fund training and workforce development to ensure that we get the training we need to do our jobs and prepare for the future of the industry.
Stronger safety language to address top issues we face in our stores.
