Saint Michael Medical Center RNs Negotiations Resume

Our Union Bargaining Team is excited to announce we met with Management for our second bargaining session yesterday, March 27, 2025. While it was day filled with work as we continued to finalize the details of our initial (comprehensive) economic proposals, we were able to continue to labor through the non-economic items we began with back on March 6 as both sides of the table made counter-proposals on New Hire Orientation, Workplace Violence/Safety, Staffing and Conference Committees, and more. We were able to reach Tentative Agreements on a number of issues.

Our Team feels that the tone of negotiations so far seems much more productive than our 2022 bargain! It has been a bit slow as both our team and Management’s take each proposal into careful consideration, but this is not a bad thing.

Our next bargaining session will be Thursday, April 3, and we intend to give Management the entirety of our initial economic proposals, including improvements to wages, premiums, ideas for staffing ratios, and other fringe benefit upgrades.
