Grand Central Bakery Bargaining Continues

Our Union Bargaining Team met with the Employer last Friday, May 8. We received a full comprehensive economic proposal and were pleasantly surprised to see a lot of movement on core issues of wages, scheduling, and health care. While their counter brought us closer to a great first contract, we know that we will have to continue fighting for the standards that we deserve! Organizing a union and bargaining a first contract has been a journey and it showed us that our organizing, solidarity, and collective action is what continues to move the Employer. 
 
We return to the bargaining table on Monday, June 1. We also have June 8, 9, 15, and 16 scheduled for future bargaining dates.
