After months of negotiations with Vestis, our Union Bargaining team is calling for a contract vote on the company’s latest proposal from March 23, along with a strike authorization vote.
The company committed to responding to our latest proposal on Tuesday March 30 and failed to do so. They now say their financial team is still working on it. Meanwhile, workers are still waiting for real wage increases. Enough is enough.

On September 21, all three plants voted to approve the collective bargaining agreement between UFCW 21 and Aramark Uniform Services! All employees who have been working since September 2019 shall receive a retroactive pay bonus and will receive a pay increase of $.80 on October 1, 2020. Also all leads will receive a $.75 increase on top of their base rate on September 26, 2020.

After almost a year of bargaining, your bargaining committee and Aramark have reached a tentative agreement! We fought for a better contract and were able to win higher wage increases, lead pay, pension contributions and improvements to contract language like vacation scheduling, funeral leave, and mandatory overtime.
We will be holding an in-person vote on Monday September 21 from 8am to 11am at the Kent and Everett plants and 1pm at the Tacoma plant.
We will have the full contract and highlights of the changes in multiple languages that day. UFCW 21 members in good standing are encouraged to attend a meeting, ask questions, and vote on the contract.

¡Después de casi un año de negociaciones, el comité de negociaciones y Aramark llegaron a un acuerdo! Peleamos por un mejor contrato y obtuvimos mejores aumentos, pago para los “leads” y contribuciones a la pensión. Además, cambiamos lenguaje del contrato: vacaciones, ausencia para funerales y “overtime.”
La votación por el acuerdo será lunes 21 de septiembre a las 8am a 11am en Kent y Everett y 1pm en Tacoma.

On August 17, 18, and 23 we bargained with Aramark. We have some tentative agreements, but we have not reached an agreement on wage increases, lead pay, pension contributions, bereavement leave, and sick time language. Aramark continues to propose low hourly wage increases and increases to health insurance premiums.
We have rejected their proposals, but we must show Aramark that we are united and willing to fight for higher wages! We are almost one year out from the expiration of the last contract and are close to an agreement, but we must pressure Aramark more! Every Friday we have been wearing union shirts and Aramark has taken notice.
On Saturday August 29, we will be holding a telephone meeting to discuss how we will escalate our workplace actions.
