We are happy to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract! Our Union Bargaining Team fully recommends this tentative agreement.

Highlights include:

We continue to bargain with management over a new contract. We have addressed many issues, including competitive wages, premiums and benefits, consecutive work days, and scheduling of time off as well as nurse staffing (now that we are working under new staffing laws), and equity and diversity. Management has been somewhat receptive and seems to want to reach an agreement that keeps the hospital competitive.

We are meeting again on Thursday, February 1.

We have finally started bargaining our union contract with Management after delays due to Management lack of availability.

Our initial contract package proposal included competitive wage increases, premium increases, equity and diversity language, staffing, and reducing health care costs. We had constructive conversations around scheduling, vacations, credit for experience and the hospital's financial status.

We will come back to the table on January 12 for a response to our proposals. We are looking forward to the Management response.

Willapa Harbor Hospital - Wage Increase Vote Scheduled

You are scheduled to receive a 3% contractual wage increase effective January 1, 2023. Management has agreed to increase this amount by 2%, to make it a 5% increase effective January 1, 2023.

This tentative agreement is a change to your current contract so must be voted on by members! UFCW 3000 members in good standing are encourage to attend the vote meeting and cast their vote.

We will be having vote meetings via Zoom to answer questions about the proposals. These are rolling meetings, members can join the meeting at any time.
