Evergreen Health Monroe Bargaining Begins!

Our Union Bargaining Team: Jeanne M. Cannady, RRT; Rosemary Holm Mitchell, SUDP; Patricia Romero, Surgical Tech

Our first session we exchanged proposals with Management on mostly non-economic language. We made tentative agreements on contract language changes regarding Union Access, Contract and Job Descriptions, New Pay Classifications, Progressive Discipline, Job Posting, and Military Leave.  

We will continue to discuss other proposals in the upcoming sessions as there are many areas of the contract that can be updated and improved upon.

Management proposed a change to the timekeeping and overtime language in our contract, so that every minute worked beyond a regular shift would be paid. Many hospitals have already moved to this way of tracking and paying for time worked. We continue to discuss the change and how it might affect employees.

We are bargaining again on October 27 and plan to have extensive discussions about wages, premiums, differentials and other economic proposals.
