Sea Wolf Bakers Bargaining Update
/On Tuesday August 26, our Bargaining Team met with management for our final bargaining session and were able to reach a Tentative Agreement! In the Fully Recommended Settlement Agreement, we established:
A new wage scale to guarantee tenure-based wage increases.
The implementation of tip pooling,
An expanded heat-relief policy when temperatures in the bakery are excessive.
Time and a half pay on Thanksgiving, Christmas eve, and Christmas day.
Time and one quarter pay for Juneteenth and Labor Day!
A matching Employer contribution for a SIMPLE IRA retirement account (after one year of service).
No takeaways to the Employer’s current healthcare contributions.
Contractually assured vacation accrual rates.
We are excited that after several months of difficult negotiations, we have reached an agreement. Our Bargaining Team unanimously recommends a “Yes” vote!
A vote notice of the exact time and date for workers to review the offer and vote on it will be coming shortly. There will also be informational meetings via Zoom on September 3rd, with the times to be announced shortly.
