On Tuesday, January 20 our union Bargaining Team met with Recovery Cafe Management for another session to discuss our hours of work, wages, health care benefits, and vacation accruals. As in previous sessions we hoped to have received full responses from the employer at the table. Regardless, we were able to provide counterproposals to the company by end of the day. We are continuing the fight for a fair and affordable healthcare plan, and we have been working collaboratively with Recovery Cafe at every request to provide thorough details for the union’s healthcare proposal. We remain eager to continue bargaining, hope that in our next meeting tomorrow, Thursday, January 22 we receive the full responses we deserve!

This Thursday, January 22 our union team will be holding another membership meeting to discuss our progress at the table and build strong solidarity with our SODO crew through the threats of closure.
