Whidbey Health Pro Tech LPN Bargaining Update
/We are working hard for a new contract and have made extensive proposals on both economic and non-economic subjects.
Even though Management had over a month to review our economic proposals, they arrived at our last bargaining session unprepared. Mid-afternoon we received a comprehensive economic proposal, which focused primarily on a total overhaul of the wage scale for the first year of the contract. Bargaining sessions have been planned to occur between 9am and 4pm so we spent the remainder of the bargaining session evaluating the proposed wage changes.
Structural changes to the wage scale are complicated. Essentially Management is trying to bring the wage scale in-line with other employers.
