On September 2, King’s Command members voted to approve a new contract including significant wage increases, new guaranteed retirement matching and other improvements. The new contract has a three year duration.

King’s Command members voted on August 4 to reject the recommended contract offer. We will return to the bargaining table to continue negotiations.

After two days of bargaining, we reached a tentative agreement for wages and other contract improvements on July 21, 2021. The Bargaining Team unanimously recommends a “YES” vote on this agreement!
Highlights of the agreement include:
Three year contract
Significant wage increases for ALL employees (even if paid above scale)
Ability to accrue additional vacation when working overtime
Additional floating holiday
Dedicated, guaranteed match for 401k contributions
Complete details and full legal language of the agreement will be available at the vote meeting. All current members in good standing are eligible to vote.
Contract vote is scheduled for Wednesday, August 4 @ 6AM - 9AM on-site in the break room.

After multiple extensions of our contract, King’s Command has finally agreed to come to the bargaining table. From your surveys, we know we need to focus on wages that can keep up with area competitors and entice new workers. We also heard you that we need to find a way to reduce the amount of weekend work.

Members at King’s Command Foods in Kent, WA overwhelmingly voted YES to a 6-month contract extension that includes improvements to the contract.
Improvements:
50 cent wage increases for every single union member for the life of the extension.
6-month extension from May 1, 2020-November 1, 2020.
Full retroactive pay back to May 1, 2020.

After months of negotiating with King’s Command Foods, we have reached a tentative agreement for a six (6) month contract extension that includes improvements to the wages through the life of the contract extension.
Wage increases for every single union member and retro pay were secured. No takeaways!
Voting will be by mail-in ballot! We will mail you the voting materials to the address we have on file. Ballots must be returned by Friday May 29, 2020 in order to be counted. In order to make sure your ballot makes it to the right place, please confirm your address.
