THE UNION DIFFERENCE - Strength in Unity

Shelley Dudley is a Checker at the Belfair QFC. Shelley came from a non-union employer in the UK where a bully-boss constantly had her co-workers in fear of losing their jobs. 

“Now that I am back in the United States I am so grateful that I have a union because that collective voice has already done so much for me before even coming to work here, by bargaining a great contract...they have taken care of legislation and I don’t have to worry about that anymore... I have always known the strength of unity and solidarity, that one voice will not do it, that we have to be unified, but I have not been able to experience it until being a member of UFCW 21... we have our voices heard on issues that are really important. Now I am not alone.”
