Northwest Administrators No Deal Reached!

After months of negotiations, our Union Bargaining Team met with Management on Monday, December 9 to try to reach an agreement before our scheduled contract vote on Thursday, December 19.

Unfortunately, we were not able to reach agreement on an offer that we felt we could recommend! By 6pm, the furthest Management had moved was as follows:

Wages:

  • Year One: 3.5% across the board increases

  • Year Two, 3% across the board increases

  • Year Three, 2.75% across the board increases

There was an offer of a $250 ratification bonus, but this was simply not enough to compensate for the wage proposal.
Pension:

  • The Employer has shown no interest in any increase to pension contributions. Our Bargaining Team has put forward multiple proposals as part of our economic package that include some manner of increase for both union contracts.

Other Economics:

  • The Employer has also shown no interest in improvements to an increase to our bilingual pay premium or the second shift premium for the Computer Operators/Distribution contract.

  • Improved annual leave benefits have also been flatly rejected by Management.

Please join us the evening of December 12 at 6PM on Zoom, to review the offer and answer questions >>

Union Representative Aaron Bailey can also be contacted at 206-436-6631 to answer questions.
