Skagit Regional Health Creating A Better Future For All Skagit Regional Health Employees
/Our Union Bargaining Team: Marilyn Faber (Union Representative), Cindy Tjaden, Isabel Contreras, Kalisa Dolph, Britney Myers-Fuller, Ashley Price, Briana Hovsepian, Graydon Hingey, Michael Koenig, Annalise Pasillas and Elizabeth Mayor, Alina Delano and Micheal Schwartz.
After four meetings with the Employer, we have made progress and moved forward with the non-economic aspects that will ensure an improved contract for everyone in SRH. In this last bargaining section, we tentatively agreed on items that were part of the committee’s goals; these are bolded below. We all stay together, demonstrating unity and a willingness to stand up to the Employer, letting them know that our Bargaining Team has our trust and unquestionable support. We are about to start the economic conversations with SRH, and we feel that this could be a historic contract for us and our families. Today, more than ever, you need to stay alert and ready to engage in our contract fight.
Some tentative agreements reached include:
Beginning bargaining sessions 90 days prior to expiration
Language that will make us a stronger union, with access to the right information.
Modified language to acknowledge Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
Improved language that will allow shop stewards to carry out their duties around the hospital and clinics.
Employees will have access to their CBA through the hospital intranet
Language to bargain over job descriptions changes
Language to protect workers going through immigration
An Email from the employer acknowledges that the discipline has been removed and is no longer considered.
Meal and Rest Breaks: SRH proposed language to clarify and increase flexibility for members and to support leadership in adhering to the new laws aimed at protecting members’ rights to meal and rest breaks. We have a TA for this new language. The Employer requested the immediate implementation of this language. Still, we have notified the employer that nothing will be implemented until the membership ratifies it at the end of this bargaining cycle.
Our subsequent bargaining sessions will be on October 24, 30, and November 6. There are possibly two more bargaining days in November; we will let you know in the next bargaining update. We encourage all members to keep wearing your Union colors in the workplace and join us for our CAT (Contract Action Team) meeting this Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 6:30-7:30pm, being held at our Union Hall (across the street from the Business Center), 1510 N 18th St., Mt Vernon, WA, 98273.

UFCW 3000 Office: 1510 N 18th St., Mt Vernon, WA 98273
We’ve made progress at the table with several Tentative Agreements reached. There’s still more to fight for, and we’re committed to winning a strong contract for all members. Brittney Myers-Fuller
“We made extreme progress with several TA’s including increasing bulletins boards, meal/rest breaks language and hopefully next talking about economics” Ashley Price
“I am happy that Skagit has tentatively agreed to bargain over changes to job descriptions. This was one of the committee’s goals. While we are not where we want to finish, we are making our voice heard at the table and steadily moving to bring good non-economic language to the CBA.” Graydon Hingey
