Providence Sacred Heart Service and Maintenance Bargaining Update

Providence Sacred Heart Service and Maintenance Continues to Bargain for Respect, Wage Fairness, and Dignity in our workplace

Our Union Bargaining Team: Kaye Balk, Registrar; Michael McDonald, ED Tech; Patty Martin, Financial Counselor; Nathan Burfeindt, Warehouse; Jessica Marvin, CNA II; Delia Acosta, Transport; Dawn Finley, Lab Assistant; Trevor Ford, Ambassador; Margaret Lauricella, Monitor Tech; Melissa Pringle, Sterile Processing.

On November 12, our Bargaining Team had a fourth bargaining session with Management. We have made improvements on differentials and premiums, tuition reimbursement, required call out times, diversity and inclusion, workplace violence, and language addressing AI.
However, the employer has proposed takeaways to our healthcare, dental, and revisions to retirement. The employer has proposed wage increases that do not cover any unknown increases to healthcare and dental coverage. We are still working to secure additional representation on the staffing committee, negotiating career advancement opportunities, addressing equal pay when doing work in a higher paid job classification, and trying to get recognition for staff that are training others.

We have a lot left to do, and our next session is November 24. We need the employer to see that we stand united. If you have not already signed the petition to demand respect, wage fairness, and dignity at work, please reach out to one of your bargaining team members to show your support.
