PRMCE Important Updates and Meetings

From April 7 to May 5, our RN Union Rep, Anthony Cantu, will be on medical leave. During this time, please reach out to Erin McCoy, our interim Union Rep, if you have a disciplinary meeting, contract questions, or potential workplace issues at (206) 436-6628.

Erin will be attending all New Employee Orientations and Staffing Committee Meetings, have a regular presence at Hospital, and will be working closely with union stewards.

PREPARING FOR 2026 STARTS NOW

This year, over 10,000 workers at Providence hospitals across Western Washington—including PRMCE, Providence St. Peter, Providence Centralia, and Swedish—will be negotiating their union contracts. Here at PRMCE, the Professional and Technical units are currently bargaining.

Next week April 14 through 18, all UFCW, SEIU, and WSNA members are uniting by wearing Union colors (and bandanas- dust them off again!) and launching yard signs. This year’s contract negotiations will set important precedents for our own RN contract in 2026, which is why it’s critical that we stand together, support their fight, and start organizing now!

Please wear union colors the week of April 14 and join us for an RN meeting over Zoom on April 22 at 7:30 pm to discuss what’s happening with current negotiations, ways to support, and preparations for our 2026 RN contract.

We will discuss the timeline for future negotiations, the process for determining the bargaining team and issue priorities, how to get involved, and we will hold space dedicated to discuss current workplace issues and grievances.
