The Bargaining has commenced!

Last Friday we met with the Employer for the first time. The Employer presented their initial set of non-economic proposals. Our Bargaining Committee studied their proposals, formulated counterproposals, and introduced an additional non-economic set of proposals. The following topics were discussed:

  1. Recognition

  2. Managements Rights

  3. Union Membership

  4. Union Representation

  5. Definitions

  6. Employment Rights

  7. Seniority/Layoffs

  8. Hours of Work and Overtime

  9. Compensation language - not numbers yet

  10. PTO

  11. Insurance Program

  12. Grievance Procedures

  13. General Provisions

We are back at the barganing table this coming Thursday, July 23. We will provide updated information after Thursday.
