/May 17, 2016
We write you this update with a heavy heart. Kenny Bunker, your Union Rep at UFCW 21, passed away Sunday. Kenny’s membership was mainly in the Seattle and Renton area at grocery stores, Southcenter Macy’s, Unified Grocers, Filson, Safeway Meat Warehouse and Restaurant Depot.
Kenny was a young and hard working family man and union brother. Before starting on staff at UFCW 21 three years ago, Kenny served four years in the US Army and worked in the Auburn Safeway Meat Warehouse for 7 years where he was a very active member, steward and bargaining committee member.
In addition to his significant and important work at UFCW 21 helping build our union so members and their families can lead better lives, Kenny deeply loved his family. Other interests included snowboarding and coaching his son’s football team. He was a solid and dependable person and we will dearly miss him.
He is survived by his son and his wife. Please join us in sending sympathies and love.
If you should have union related question, please call 206-436-6586 and press “0” to speak with the Union Rep of the Day.
