Town & Country LOU Vote Scheduled!

As a part of the 2025 grocery settlement, our Union Bargaining Team prioritized addressing staffing and scheduling issues in our stores. Many other grocery stores now have an agreement to provide sales, labor, and volume data to our Union in order to monitor hours at each Employer.

Town & Country has agreed to solidify guaranteed hours instead of data sharing at each store. This Letter of Understanding (LOU) now guarantees a full time schedule (32hrs per week) to employees covered by the grocery contract at each Town & Country market based on the following:

  • Between the months of January to September, 60% of all employees shall receive a full time schedule (32hrs per week)

  • Between the months of October to December, 75% of all employees shall receive a full time schedule (32hrs per week)

Full-time schedules shall be offered and assigned based on their seniority, consistent with the scheduling requirements under the grocery contract. This LOU shall not prevent an employee from requesting an accommodation or voluntarily requesting a less than full-time schedule.

This LOU will not alter or affect any provisions or practices under the Meat Agreement.

If the Town & Country fails to meet the 60% (January to September) 75% (October to December) full-time scheduling commitment in any week, Town & Country shall compensate affected employees for any shortfall in hours needed to reach full-time status, at their regular hourly rate.

The full LOU will be available for review and consideration at the vote times and locations below. Each vote will take place in the break room of the store:
