Vestis Contract & Strike Authorization Vote.
/After months of negotiations with Vestis, our Union Bargaining team is calling for a contract vote on the company’s latest proposal from March 23, along with a strike authorization vote.
The company committed to responding to our latest proposal on Tuesday March 30 and failed to do so. They now say their financial team is still working on it. Meanwhile, workers are still waiting for real wage increases. Enough is enough.
THE COMPANY’S LAST PROPOSAL INCLUDES:
A 4-year contract
Wage increases that are still cents per year
No raise in the first year for some Everett classifications
Moving workers to the company’s healthcare plan, increasing out-of-pocket costs and reducing benefits
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE VOTE
The company knows what it will take to reach a fair agreement.
Votes are scheduled now, including a strike authorization vote. However, the strike authorization vote may be canceled if the company provides a proposal that our union bargaining team can recommend before the vote date.
At the meeting, your Bargaining Team will provide the latest update and a recommendation based on the most current proposal.
