Bargaining Update—Employer Pushes Back on Basic Contract Rights

On February 20, we finally met with the Employer for our first in-person and almost full day of bargaining since January 13. We continue to negotiate in good faith, offering thoughtful proposals, but the Employer is pushing back against the most basic worker contract rights and protections including:

  • NO! Wage scale or annual wage step increases in the contract

  • NO! Worker legal rights in the contract

  • NO! Seniority

  • NO! Safety and Labor Management Committees

  • Refusing to provide all requested information to inquire in the Trust benefits including health insurance

Our Union Bargaining Team is committed to reaching an agreement that supports high-quality care, a sustainable workplace, and the long-term success of the organization. The Employer canceled our last session on January 27, and the only date offered was February 20. We continue to request more dates in February, but the Employer has nothing available.

Welcome to Our Union: Dreamclinic Massage Therapists Join UFCW 3000!

After a long, determined organizing effort that began in January, the massage therapists of Dreamclinic have officially won their union election—making history as the first group of massage therapists in Washington State to successfully organize.

This victory marks a powerful step forward not just for the workers at Dreamclinic, but for the broader massage therapy profession. These dedicated Licensed Massage Therapists (LMTs) have shown that when workers stand together, they can overcome challenges, advocate for their needs, and create lasting change.

The bargaining process will begin soon. In the coming weeks, bargaining surveys will be distributed so that every therapist's voice and priorities are heard as we prepare for negotiations.

With an overwhelming supermajority, Dreamclinic LMTs have officially won our union election. This win was powered by our unity, our courage, and our belief that we deserve better. We stood together across clinics, shifts, and schedules and proved that we are strongest when we act as one.
