Before the votes, we will also have a meeting to review the full contract including the wage scale, the healthcare language, our grievance procedure, and all of the other articles in the agreement. Over the last several months, we’ve stickered up, buttoned up, leafleted our stores, attended dozens of Contract Action Team meetings, and educated our customers and coworkers at a massive info picket — all to reclaim our co-op for the workers and members who built it.

Our Bargaining Team Recommends a YES Vote!

Our Forks Community Hospital RN Bargaining Team has reached a tentative agreement with Management and recommends a YES vote to approve the agreement.

Our team worked to secure improvements that recognize the essential work Forks nurses provide every day. This tentative agreement includes wage increases for all years of the agreement and other contract improvements that will be reviewed in full with members at the vote.

Providence Centralia Hospital Service Unit members will vote on the Tentative Accretion MOU covering Operating Room Assistants, Senior Electronic Imaging Assistants, and Supply Chain Technicians.

This MOU brings these classifications into the UFCW 3000 Service Unit Collective Bargaining Agreement. The agreement includes language addressing seniority, PTO balances, already-approved PTO requests, wage step placement, and step progression.

As a part of our union contract, we have set a limit on healthcare cost increases year to year of 10% (5% shared by the Employer, 5% shared by union members). Our healthcare costs have increased 12.3% (2.3% more than our contract covers). Members in good standing are encourage to participate in this online vote to maintain our existing healthcare coverage. Voting yes would increase the healthcare cost on employees an additional 2.3% on top of what the contract covers and would ensure we can maintain the existing coverage in our healthcare plan.

After eight months of Bargaining and the recent Tentative Agreement at the Skagit bargaining table, we are confident that a Tentative Agreement may be reached at the next bargaining session on Monday, April 13.
